This practical leadership programme is for registered managers and other managers in adult social care. It helps you develop the confidence and skills to lead your service in an increasingly complex environment.
What you’ll learn:
Gain a clear understanding of what a ‘well-led’ service looks like and learn leadership techniques to transform services and improve care quality.
Duration:
Four interactive modules, typically delivered over a four-month period to allow learning to be put into practice. Flexible delivery options are available.
Funding:
Adult social care employers in England can claim funding via the DHSC Learning and Development support scheme.
Leading Change Improving Care
A national development programme for new and experienced managers. This course provides the tools and techniques to drive change and improve the quality of care your team delivers.
What you’ll learn:
Lead and manage the process of change, build resilience, manage colleagues resistant to change, and use coaching to develop high-performing teams.
Duration:
Five interactive modules delivered over a four-month period, with flexible delivery patterns available.
Funding:
Funding is available for adult social care employers in England through the DHSC Learning and Development support scheme.
For Aspiring Managers
Lead to succeed
This programme is aimed at aspiring managers and deputies in adult social care. It is designed to help individuals develop their leadership potential and gain the knowledge needed to step up confidently.
What you’ll learn:
Modules cover successful behaviours for leaders, developing a positive culture, effective supervision, and leading the inspection process.
Duration: Four days, usually delivered over a three-month period. Flexible delivery options like half-days are available.
Funding:
Employers in England can claim funding through the DHSC Learning and Development support scheme.
One-Day CPD Modules for Managers
Our practical, one-day continuing professional development (CPD) modules are designed for registered managers and other managers in adult social care.
Understanding Self-management Skills:
A one-day course to help managers tackle isolation, manage time, build resilience, and ensure their wellbeing. Learn to deal with pressure and stress using practical strategies.
Understanding Performance Management:
This one-day course explores the performance management cycle. Learn strategies to improve performance, manage high-performing staff, and handle difficult conversations with confidence.
Understanding Workplace Culture:
A one-day course focused on exploring the critical links between vision, values, and culture. Learn to assess your current culture and use practical approaches to turn your values into action.
Funding:
Adult social care employers in England can claim up to £125 per staff member for each of these CPD modules upon completion.
